Picture books have very much monopolised the market of books for little people. American author, comedian and screen writer B. J. Novak (of The American Office fame) is releasing a book for small children that breaks the convention of traditional children’s books with “The book with no pictures.”
The book with no pictures is just as it’s title suggests, a book with no pictures. This is potentially a hard sell to young children and early readers but the book is more than just words on a page.
This Month has seen the release of a number of BIG games. Titles such as Dragon Age: Inquisition, Super Smash Bros and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be popular on plenty of people’s Christmas lists.
Games featuring “open worlds” are growing dramatically in popularity. They afford their players large worlds to explore, enjoy and usually offer a hours of content. Of the various genres of open world titles that are available it’s the action adventure titles traditionally attract the most sales.
This Christmas the most popular of these open world action-adventure games are Assassins Creed: Unity, Grand Theft Auto V and Far Cry 4.
The question is, if you’re a fan, which one of these is the game for you to spend hours exploring.
Far Cry 3 was without doubt an outstanding and ground breaking first person shooter. Far Cry 4 looks to take what number 3 did so well and keep on trying to make things better.
I’ve just played my first couple of hours on Far Cry 4 and am itching to get on and play some more.
Singing in the shower is all well and good but wouldn’t it be better with some backing vocals and the actual music! Jam Audio’s Bluetooth shower speakers could well be just what you need.
The speaker has several buttons on it that are all covered with rubber to prevent water getting inside. The buttons allow you to turn the speaker on and off, raise or lower the volume and skip tracks without having to leave the safety of your shower.
The Railway Man has the greatest acting by a full cast that I have ever seen!
The Railway Man stars Colin Firth, Nicole Kidman, Jeremy Irvin and Stellen Skarsgard and was released in cinemas in Decemeber 2013. It has recently become avaliable on Netflix in the UK and was released on DVD and Blu-Ray in August.
Last month we had an incredible time at Ellenden Farm for their Apple day.
We took a tractor and trailer ride to the orchard, picked our own apples and watched them being squashed up into incredibly delicious apple juice to take home and enjoy.

Moo has played through the initial Stages 1 games and activities that focused on sounds and is now beginning on stages 1+ and 2 which are more focused on simple phonetic words such as “bug, Dad and pot.”
Big Hero 6 is the latest film from the incredibly talented behind HUGE hit films such as Tangled, Wreck-it-Ralph and Frozen.
It centres around the adventures of a young boy named Hiro and a large, cuddly robot called Baymax.

The Assassins Creed series has steadily been bringing out new titles since 2007. They have become some of my favourite games and are possibly the longest running series of games that I have brought and played through every release.
This year though the series splits it’s releases into two titles, both being released at the same time; Unity for PC, Playstation 4 and the Xbox One and Rogue for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
Both games look absolutely amazing and continue the long running battle between the Assassins and the Templars.
