Picture books have very much monopolised the market of books for little people. American author, comedian and screen writer B. J. Novak (of The American Office fame) is releasing a book for small children that breaks the convention of traditional children’s books with “The book with no pictures.”
The book with no pictures is just as it’s title suggests, a book with no pictures. This is potentially a hard sell to young children and early readers but the book is more than just words on a page.
Following my previous post of first impressions HERE we have continued to enjoy playing with Phonics fun with Biff, Chip And Kipper on our 2DS.
Moo has played through the initial Stages 1 games and activities that focused on sounds and is now beginning on stages 1+ and 2 which are more focused on simple phonetic words such as “bug, Dad and pot.”

Reading a story with your little ones before bed is the best thing EVER!!! Guess how much I love you by Sam McBratney is the perfect story to share before bed.
Guess how much I love you tells the story of a young hare and his Dad preparing to go to bed. As they settle down for the day just like many parents and children they exchange comments of loving one another.
The Biff, Chip and Kipper books are nearly as old as I am (thanks for that Wikipedia) and I turned 31 yesterday!
The books are a series of stories designed to teach children how to read and speak English in line with the National Curriculum that is taught in schools. Because of this they have been incredibly popular with parents and schools for nearly 30 years!
